Topkapi Palace is very interesting and full of history, especially if you’re curious about the Ottoman Empire and how the sultans lived. The complex is large and made up of different courtyards, rooms, and pavilions, so it feels more like a small city than a single palace. There are audio guide options available, and I highly recommend using them. They really help you understand what you’re seeing, the stories behind each area, and the importance of the palace, otherwise it can feel a bit overwhelming or disconnected. That said, in my opinion, it’s interesting but not as impressive as Dolmabahçe Palace in terms of luxury and visual impact. Topkapi feels more historical and traditional, while Dolmabahçe is more grand and ornate. One of the highlights is the views over the Bosphorus, which are beautiful, and the outdoor areas and gardens make the visit very pleasant. Make sure you allow enough time, wear comfortable shoes, and don’t rush—it’s best enjoyed slowly. Overall, it’s a meaningful visit and an important part of Istanbul’s history. Worth seeing, especially with an audio guide, but manage expectations if you’ve already visited Dolmabahçe.

Topkapi Palace Museum is a really beautiful and important place to visit in Istanbul. The buildings are amazing, the courtyards are huge, and the sea views are lovely. Walking around the palace feels like stepping back in time. The Sacred Relics section was the highlight for me. Seeing items connected to Prophet Muhammad(Sal)felt very peaceful and emotional. I was also very moved to see the stick of Prophet Musa and the handwritten letter of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). It was a very spiritual experience and made the visit extra special. The museum is well maintained and full of history, with so much to see that you really need to take your time. Visiting Topkapi Palace was one of the best parts of my Istanbul trip. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I had an amazing experience visiting the Topkapi Palace Museum. The palace itself is beautiful and full of history, but the most powerful part of my visit was the Sacred Relics section. Seeing the belongings of the Prophets (peace be upon them), the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and his companions was deeply touching. The atmosphere in this area is very calm and respectful, and it really makes you pause and reflect. It felt more than just a museum visit — it was a very meaningful and spiritual experience for me. The rest of the palace is also incredible, with so many historical rooms, artifacts, and exhibits that show the life of the Ottoman sultans. There is so much to see, so I definitely recommend taking your time while visiting. Overall, this place is a must-visit in Istanbul. It’s a mix of history, culture, and spirituality, and I’m really glad I had the chance to experience it.
