Very convenient and well-organized. The Metro train system in Turkey is clean, modern, and easy to use. Trains are punctual, comfortable, and make traveling around the city smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended for daily travel and tourists.

Taksim Metro Station takes you directly to Taksim Square and Istiklal Street, the heart and pulse of Istanbul. Istiklal Street is full of international clothing brands, famous restaurants, and cafés, and it leads up toward Galata Tower. The area also has historic tram lines, old buildings, and several consulates nearby. One of the most famous mosques in Istanbul, Taksim Mosque, is also located here, sponsored by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. A very lively and important station.

Price fluctuations aside, Keep in mind that Istanbulkart purchase and recharge machines are available in a reasonably good number in Taksim, but there could be a few more — and better signs or directions would make them easier to find. Another thing is that they’re not located on every corner or in the most obvious spots; a few of them are placed in rather odd or hidden locations. based on my experience from August 17 to August 27, 2025, the metro in Taksim and nearby areas is: 1-Perfect in terms of speed 2-Clean enough 3-Not very crowded 4-Average to good in terms of waiting time 5-Nearly new or well maintained
