This place is a 10/10 cozy and familiar homestay. Sanahin is a great location since it is on top of the hill above Alaverdi. It's very easy to get to Alaverdi by bus or taxi and I think it's definitely more peaceful and beautiful to stay up on the hill. It is also possible to walk from here to Haghpat monastery (9km approximately) and it is completely worth it. Marina and Ala are the friendliest hosts and they made sure our stay was absolutely perfect. The place is super clean, room is spacious and very comfortable, and the dinner we had there was amazing! (Vegetarian and vegan options available) Thank you Marina and Ala for your generosity and hospitality, we hope to come back :)

My sister and I had a lovely stay at Pottery House and we would highly recommend it to anyone going to Alaverdi. Ala and Marina are amazing hosts and made us feel at home from the start. The location is great to do hikes in the area, and with Marina's help, we were easily able to arrange minivan tickets to Tbilisi. We also had a delicious vegan dinner, so if you have the chance, we would highly reccomend getting a meal here!

I spent a few days in this quiet guesthouse, very close to the Sanahin monastery. Marina and Alla gave me a lot of information about the area and local life. Excellent dinner; very clean and comfortable room. I recommended to stay here for the kindness, hospitality and possibility of master class for pottery and carpet making. Super recommended!!!
