The Isahakyan family home/museum is one of my favorite places in one of my favorite cities on Earth (Beautiful Gyumri) Isahaknyan Museum features displays and artifacts showcasing the life and experiences that shaped one of our most prided poets; Avetik Isahakyan is and always will be a true son and hero of the Armenian people; this museum showcases that in full glory. The museum was damaged in the 1988 earthquake, but has been restored to upmost perfection with no visible damage from the tragic event. If you ever visit Gyumri (Armenia's Cultural Capital) make sure to experience the Isahakyan museum.

On October 29, 1975, on the 100th anniversary of the great Master's birth, the Isahakyans' house became a memorial museum. The museum has restored the poet's study, the Isahakyans' living room, bedroom, kitchen, pantry and tonratun. The museum's furnishings have been preserved as they were during the author's lifetime. Here you can see Isahakyan's rich personal library, the old-fashioned desk where his first work was born, a wooden children's cradle, etc. Here you can also find the embroidered tablecloth and pillow, the author's favorite coffee pot, a rather large European-style mirror, and a 2-meter-high wooden sculpture, which is the bust of the famous writer. In the museum, you can get acquainted not only with relics related to the great poet, but also with the lifestyle of a wealthy Gyumri resident in the last quarter of the 19th century, a resident.
