EDIT: They privately continued to refuse to refund us by the way even after their response here… Do not come play squash here. I want to start by saying that my girlfriend and I bring our rackets and shoes on every vacation and love trying new squash clubs. We hoped to do the same here on our vacation to Armenia. This is one of the most expensive squash court we have booked at ~$31 per hour and we were expecting a high quality squash experience. Check-in was fine and they showed us to a dark court where the employee said he would go turn on the lights for us. So we put on our shoes and waited for the lights to turn on which didn’t happen. My girlfriend went to go find someone else to turn on the lights which took about 5 more minutes of waiting for them to do but they were quite courteous and helpful. At this point we noticed that there are no lines on the court and instead it was a giant LED panel that needed to be powered on to display the lines on the floor. We waiting for at least 10 more minutes for them to try to turn this system on before they told us to just start warming up while they continued to try to get the lines to display on the floor. Immediately I noticed how dirty this court was. The bottoms of my shoes turned black and slid around on the ground and the ball became dusty immediately. We hit around for around 45 minutes on a blank floor before giving up and went down to try to get our $62 dollars back for our 2 hour reservation. They refused to refund the $62 saying that we agreed to book the court for 2 hours and it’s not their problem that the electrical system didn’t work. Keep in mind that we arranged this visit over the phone and they never mentioned any technical issues. After lots of discussion regarding why a court without lines is not a satisfactory experience they said someone would call us and showed us out. I asked them when we first arrived if lots of good squash players were members and they said yes but I don’t see how that is possible if they don’t even know how to “turn on” the court lines. We will see if they ever agree to refund us but even still I wouldn’t take your chances on the $31 per hour court reservation.
considering the equipments it's pretty much the best Gym in Armenia, but regarding the way they are treating clients it's the worst Gym I've ever been here in Armenia (I trained in almost all of the famous ones). In Reebok your wallet matters only. Every other Gym that I know, they try to be as fair as possible while they are making money, but Reebok wants you to pay all the time, all rules are for Gym to make more.
