One of the oldest mosques in Antalya. It’s very beautiful in the courtyard. I was very excited to pray here, Unfortunately I could not enter, it was locked. This is the Second mosque I’ve visited which is locked throughout the day, only open during the official prayer times. VERY unfortunate. Mosques should be open always.

I was here on May 31, 2018. The Demirci Kara Ali Mosque, formerly also known as the Timurcu Karaali Mosque, is located in the Demircikara neighborhood. While it has an inscription, the date 1150 Hijri (1738 AD) is written on its minaret. It is said to have been built by Demirci Kara Ali, and that the deceased is buried under the olive tree to the right of the northern entrance gate of the mosque garden. Its architectural feature is a rectangular structure with rubble stone walls, wooden construction, a pitched roof, and tiled roofing. It has undergone repairs at various times. In 2001, the garden was landscaped with the contributions of the congregation. In 2005, its minaret and in 2007, its tiles were repaired by the Regional Directorate of Foundations. May God be pleased with the builder, the person who commissioned it, and those who contributed.

A nice mosque 🕌 in a good location, with clean restrooms. The mosque needs renovation. Unfortunately, it's closed, and it's impossible to pray inside.
