Budak Residence is in an excellent location, close to public transport and all the main highlights of Istanbul. It’s surrounded by lovely cafés and restaurants, and the owner is genuinely helpful and caring. I had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Leonora

It actually worth the money, it's definitely if you're travelling on a low budget, considering the given situation of the rooms which is not very well maintained and manicured and clean, but the receptionist was a very helpful guy and very well at explaining things, the location is the best about this hotel it's literally next to everything, recommended if you sre looking for a low budget hotel safe and not bad to stay at .

If you are looking for something cheap yet clean and in a good location, this is the place. To manage your expectations, the place is very close to Taksim, we just got to sleep there and spend all day traveling in Istanbul. We liked how very friendly and helpful the owners were. They allowed us a late check out, they even got us some fruits as a welcome. The place is quiet and walking distance from Taksim square (2 minutes) which is the metro station as well. The room we booked is equipped with AC (heat/cool), TV, private bathroom, 5 windows, 1 queen bed, 1 single bed and even 1 portable bed. We had a refrigerator and small kitchen. We would go back. And again keep your expectations low as you're not paying much. The place can have some minimum maintenance like the sink in the bathroom, areas between the floor and the wall. And some fixes for the floor. However this didn't impact us much as we used the place to sleep and be close to the Istiklal street and public transportation.
