I rarely leave reviews, but after my experience with Tatev, I feel I need to share so others can make an informed decision. Last year, I had a traumatic haircut that left me devastated, so I’d been growing my hair long and healthy for over a year. Booking with Tatev took a lot of courage. I explained my past experience, stressed that I didn’t want much cut, and even showed her a reference photo of subtle long layers. She reassured me — but what followed was a complete breach of trust. She brushed all my hair forward and made large, blunt chops with no effort to blend. She never checked in about the length or progress. After blow drying, the style seemed okay, but once home I saw the truth: choppy, uneven layers, poorly blended, with far more length cut off than agreed. My hair now looks thin, flat, and damaged, the opposite of what I worked so hard for. I was devastated and cried for hours. I had to book an emergency appointment with my regular stylist, who confirmed the cut was poorly executed. I reached out to Tatev privately on Instagram to share my disappointment, but she never responded. Hair carries emotional weight, especially after trauma. I trusted Tatev with something deeply personal and left feeling unheard, disrespected, and retraumatised. Please take this into account before booking.
